ABOUT THE CELL

The Equal Opportunity Cell(EOC) was established in our college on 6th January  2025 to provide a suitable environment to all students and to address the issues related to SC/ST, the OBC and minorities and the physically challenged on a continual basis. It ensures a barrier free access to all buildings of colleges, departments, libraries, and offices. EOC of our college also responsible for effective implementation of policies and programmes for disadvantaged groups, to provide guidance and counseling for academic, financial, social and other matters and to enhance the diversity within the campus.(As per UGC guidelines.)    

Objectives of Equal Opportunities Cell (EOC)

  • To ensure equal Opportunity for students from all categories in scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
  • To organize training programme for socially and educationally backward communities and physically challenged students.
  • To ensure the implementation of policies and programmes for the disadvantaged groups.
  • To enhance the diversity among the students and employees of the college.
  • To encourage students to enroll in various career-building and placement programmes so that they are empowered to face interviews and job selection process confidently.
  • To look into the grievances of the weaker section of society and suggest amicable solution to their problems.
  • To sensitize the people regarding special need of the differently able, SC, ST, OBC minorities and women through various means.
  • To   organize   periodic   meetings   to   monitor   the progress of different schemes.
  •  To   adopt   measures   to   ensure   due   share   of utilization by SC/ST in admissions, recruitments (teaching and non-teaching posts) and to improve their performances.

Functions of Equal opportunity Cell (EOC)

  1. Meeting with the admission committee regarding reservation guidelines to be followed by the college.
  2. To organized different skill based programme and workshop to equip the students to face the challenges in their life.
